Dholera: Dholera SIR is a significant component of the thriving Delhi Mumbai Corridor (DMIC), a project initiated by the Government of India. It stands out as the pioneering project on the DMIC Agenda. The Dholera Region now holds the status of a Special Investment Region (S.I.R.).

Dholera Global Connectivity:

It will be linked by a 250 meters/820 feet wide 10-lane Express Highway, funded with a budget of Rs. 2200 Crores as of February 2011, along with a Metro Rail (high-speed railway) and BRTS bus system, which has already proven successful in Ahmedabad City.

An International Airport with Cargo Facility is in the works, approved by the Airport Authority of India, for Dholera SIR.

The Kalpasar Dam near Dholera SIR will house the largest Sweet Water Lake, designed to collect 25% of Gujarat's rainwater.

A budget of Rs. 296 Crores has been sanctioned (as of February 2011) for the proposed Ferry Service via Sea Transit between Bharuch and Bhavnagar, significantly reducing travel time from Surat.

Logistic support is crucial for the Delhi-Mumbai Dedicated Freight Corridor, which is connected to an efficient rail and road network.

The Gujarat government recently acquired 75,000 acres of land in Dholera to transform it into a cutting-edge and exemplary township globally.

Dholera boasts connectivity to National Highways 8 and 8A, enhancing links in the Bagodara-Bhavnagar, Bagodara- Surendranagar- Radhanpur areas as part of the Golden Quadrilateral project.

Furthermore, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway spanning 500 km enriches connectivity in the region. Plans to introduce an airport and a port in the area aim to enhance accessibility.
